I tried your trick, and I'll be damned if it didn't work!!! Check the Sensor Bar cord for frayed wires or kinks. The sensor bar acts like it is working and plugged in. How To Use Wii Remote Console is working,But there are no lights on remote??

I noticed a red synce button on the inside of the remote, and of course, I pressed it, though it effected nothing.
It doesn't do it on the regular sports disc. On the third whack, the accelerometer started working again and has been working flawlessly since.
