When your AV receiver decodes Dolby Digital only, you can use “HD Player” option to rip Blu-ray and DVD movie. Seems to be a WD problem because the sound comes across fine on a BD player or different media player and I cannot find a solution. 9 out of 10 films Please post your findings. As far as your Vizio is concerned, I have no doubt it will pass through 5.1 sound. On my new player there's not a function to load the same firmware version so I don't know what I do.
I have the classic issues of not being able to seek, resume play, or pause for an extended duration of time without having to start the video all over again. i.e. So, I connect the HDMI out from WDTV Live into HDMI In into HTS. (Sorry, I caught cold, couldn't smell it. This is my xml file:
I remember the wording in the email I received from WD support was poor, but I do think it was saying they do not support 5.1, only 2.0 through HDMI. I had to modify it slightly and now everything works great. WD support The player does not support digital output via HDMI. Please check with your receiver manufacturer for assistance determining what formats your receiver can play. Here I’d recommend you a helpful tool to fix this--- Pavtube ByteCopy.
All my movies are H.264 video with either DTS Master Audio, Dolby True HD or ac3 in MKV container.
