If you don't use those folders just right click and set up sharing like you did the VIDEOS folder. Not the fasted one out there but with a wireless keyboard and mouse it is a nice feature ... A problem with wireless is that sometimes there's not enough bandwidth to sustain the video stream, and once it hits that point, the video becomes choppy and sound drops out....just throwing If the network scanner doesn't see it, then it's not showing up on your network, and you'll need to do more troubleshooting. One that I like to use is SoftPerfect's Network Scanner ( http://www.softperfect.com/products/networkscanner/). Has anyone else already got around this problem without having to change from static to dynamic IP assignment? on the HDLIVE with it no problem. Plus you will have a folder called users.
Are you saying I would create a seperate profile in Windows just for purposes of WD Live? Navigate to the folder that is to be shared. Once on the sharing tab, the Advanced Sharing heading will be seen. Changed, lan port on routher, lan cable, automated then dedicated IP for Mac address on DHCP, swiched on and off router firewall/ PC firewall.
