Remove and reload the Game Pak, pressing firmly to ensure it is locked in place. I think the wii itself is working because the remote will rumble as I move over the channels. weblink

Another way to check if it is a TV fault or the wii, plug something else into the TV and see if the sound works. I hope to get over to my folks this weekend. Check your manual for the TV or VCR to see if this is the case for your unit. It's now working with sound. I had the same problem last night, and I eventually realized that my inputs somehow got changed to digital and I had to change them to analog.

If both work, then you must be doing something wrong, if only one works then you will know the source of the problem. My wii remote also won t connect to the wii.
