All of a sudden, it begins to shut off. Should i try it anyways????? This tool about five seconds and completely illiminated my issue and i have had alot of problems for awhile. I could have reused the one from the cracked button, but more importantly the black rubber that surrounds the button - my old one was deformed, stretched, nasty - and didn't navigate here

I still can't believe I've got it working. !! Replace the two screws that sit on either side of the Lightning dock using your security screwdriver. I've tried calibration and I also cleaned the home button with a bit of alcohol, any suggestions?
If it only works in some locations, like on the top but not on the bottom, you definitely have a hardware problem.
